The images (hand-painted engravings) scroll past the window in the wooden-handled screen by means of 2 ivory knobs. 9 numbered scenes entitled " Ermenonville" the village where the philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau died. The last scene shows his tomb. France, circa 1830.
