Painter’s studio, attributed to Le Blondel

This fantastic albumen paper photograph represents a painter at work in his studio. We see him adding a few strokes to his painting. Next to him, slightly removed, is a man standing in dark garb wearing a hat. The theme of the photograph and the time period make us think that the author of this photograph could very well be Alphonse Le Blondel (1814-1876). The image measures 19 x 23 cm, the carboard measures 24,5 x 31,5 cm. French.
