This Leica clone was manufactured during WWII in the United States as imports from Germany were halted and industrial facilities bellonging to germany companies, shut down or self-sabotaged to avoid reposession. This model was imagined by a Peter Kardon, as a substitute for the Leica 111a. This rare camera has the serial number 1696. It is equiped with a Kodak lens, the Ektar 47mm f/2. Missing the top shutter ring. Works perfectly. No haze, fungus or scratches on the lens.
