Mackenstein Transparency Viewer for looking at glass slides. Views are passed through the viewer in sequence on a sliding changer.
This enabled comfortable viewing without the need of a projector. Also used by lecturers to prepare their audio-visual conferences, with an easier method of selecting the views.Rack and pinion focusing with knob. Ground glass screen at back. Attractive polished mahogany construction, with very decorative carved stand. Low serial number "49". Rare.
