“LE MINIMUS” by Lucien BIZE
In 1907 Lucien BIZE registered a patent (jointly with Mr CLAPAREDE) for a hand-held stereoscope "which comprised a magazine and a changing mechanism that placed one image after another in front of the viewing system of the apparatus" (sic introduction to the patent).
Lucien Bize subsequently produced and marketed the viewer (in fine mahogany) with Robert PLEYAU (see advertising from the era).
