Emile REYNAUD (1844-1918) Crank Operated Praxinoscope. Uncommon version of Reynaud's Praxinoscope marketed from1879. Height 42 cm; diameter 23 cm; special base incorporating cranking handle on the side. Special black tin drum designed to accommodate the mechanism. Two labels with instructions, 12 mirrors, candle holder, original chromo-lithographed shade, 10 strips of images on white background from the first series, numbered 1 to 10. Cinematheque inventory N° 912.
