Rare Kinora Casler-Lumière made by Léon Gaumont, bearing the number 80. Based on the same principle as the folioscope, patented on 10 September 1896 under licence from the Compagnie Française du Mutoscope et Biographe. For viewing chronophotographic images through a viewfinder with magnifying lens. The 5x2cm paper views flick past the lens on a reelthat is turned by a knob on the outside of the device. Fine construction in polished mahogany. Offered with one image reel.
