First Model “Buddha” Magic Lantern by Aubert
Extremely rare First Model "Buddha" Magic Lantern by AUBERT, made in 1870. It differs from the later models notably in the crescent moon on the chimney and the pierced circular base with double acanthus leaf decoration. The lantern has its original gold and ochre colouring. Some rust points on the chimney.
This first model is extremely rare in public and private collections.
