Clockwork Magnesium Ribbon Lamp

Magnesium Ribbon Lamp with clockwork motor enabling a regular length of ribbon to emerge at a constant speed, thus giving a stable level of lighting about 6 to 8 minutes. This lamp was designed to be used with a reflector(see the extract from the 1896 MAZO catalogue)
