Ambrotype, A Souvenir

This German ambrotype in its decorated frame reads : "In memory of, or Souvenir from Jagdschloss-Niederwald". Possibly a memento made at the scene where this family or group of friends stayed. Little is know about the photographer Chr. P. Krell from Wiesbaden, but similar photographs can be found dating from around 1900, mostly ferrotypes.
