Perfected Achromatic Microscope by Charles CHEVALIER

This perfected achromatic microscope was made by Charles Chevalier between 1832 and 1851, which was the period he occupied the address "163 Palais Royal à Paris", which is engraved on the microscope. It has various adjustments (position, articulation, focusing etc.). In 1834, Charles Chevalier was awarded a gold medal by the Société d'Encouragement when he exhibited a microscope with a variable lens and an inverting prism.
