Sigriste “Jumelle”, 9 x 12 cm.
A nice example of the 9 x 12 cm format "jumelle photographique à rendement maximum" designed by wildlife painter Jean Guido SIEGRIST. The very ingenious system in the shutter enabled exposures of up to 1/10,000 th second. This was possible by changing the position of the camera and the ability to set the the gap in the shutter blind which was only 1/10 th mm from the plate. As mentioned in the attached advert from the 1903 catalogue, the camera was designed to be used with various types of lenses, according to the customer's requirements. This example has a Tessar 4.5 / 150mm
